3. Description of Products

Carraro Fine Jewelry sells products in 18 kt solid gold and lab grown diamonds.

3.1. Our Diamonds

The carat weight of our diamonds may vary +/- 0.05 CT on the advertised carat weight, depending on availability and stock.

We always strive to find the best lab diamonds available in the market, which means we allow ourselves a tiny variation in carat weight to find the best gems available within the advertised carat range.

Our diamonds are all ideal or excellent cut, color D-E-F, and clarity VVS1 to VS2.

3.2. Our Gold

All jewels listed on Carraro Fine Jewelry are made out of 18 kt gold. This means for every 1000 parts, 750 parts are of pure gold (like the stamp on your gold suggests), or otherwise explained, 75% is pure gold and 25% are alloys (most commonly: zinc, copper, silver, palladium, or nickel).

This is true for any piece, whether it’s yellow gold, white gold, or rose gold. While the 75% pure gold part is the same for every single piece, the 25% alloy part composition varies depending on the final gold color we want to obtain: e.g. more copper for rose gold, more silver for white gold.

Our white gold jewelry is made using special alloys that are close to "silvery" shades of color and have copper, zinc, and nickel as components (the latter in minimal amounts strictly compliant with REACH – EN 1811.2011 European standards, to an extent considered not harmful). To obtain an even brighter white, the wedding rings are also subjected to a bath of rhodium, a precious metal from the platinum family, capable of permanently giving the desired bright white appearance.

Daily use of rhodium-plated jewelry, especially rings, will likely cause the rhodium surface layer to wear off. For this reason, we advise getting top-up galvanic rhodium plating treatments (every couple of years or as needed) at a local jeweler’s or goldsmith's laboratory.

3.3. Product Images

We strive to describe and display our products in the most accurate way possible on the carrarofinejewelry.com website. However, the product images may differ slightly from the real appearance of the product, as the products are made by hand. We cannot guarantee that your device monitor's display of any color will be accurate.

4. Limitation of Liability

Carraro Fine Jewelry shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with the use of the services or the website content.

5. Purchasers, User Accounts, and Content Restrictions

Purchasers on carrarofinejewelry.com must be at least 18 years old. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. Our services are not available in prohibited jurisdictions.

Users are prohibited from posting or transmitting through the carrarofinejewelry.com website or service any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable material of any kind, including but not limited to any material that encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made both on carrarofinejewelry.com or personally via email. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

6. Orders

When you place an order on carrarofinejewelry.com, you will automatically receive an email receipt showing the items you have ordered. This email is just an electronic receipt to confirm that we have received your order, and no legally binding agreement has been concluded between you and Carraro Fine Jewelry at this time.

A legally binding agreement between you and Carraro Fine Jewelry is only entered when you receive an order confirmation via email with details and total cost.

Until you receive an order confirmation, Carraro Fine Jewelry reserves the right to cancel your order in whole or in part, e.g. as a result of price and text errors or out-of-stock items, and if this happens, you will of course be notified as soon as possible via email and, whenever possible, offered an alternative.

7. Payment Methods

7.1. Card Payments

At Carrarofinejewelry.com you can pay with all major debit and credit cards, such as Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, and others, as well as payments through ViaBill.

When paying with a debit or credit card on carrarofinejewelry.com, you need to enter your card number, expiry date, and CVV code. Failed CVV verification will result in an automatic rejection of the order. Carraro Fine Jewelry does not charge any fees for your payment by credit card.

The amount of your purchase is reserved on your account until the payment is withdrawn. Carraro Fine Jewelry will deduct the payment when the item is ready to be dispatched. If there is no cover on the card when it is time to deduct the payment, the items will not be shipped, and our customer service will email you to find a resolution.

7.2. Invoice

It is also possible to receive an invoice and pay via bank transfer. The choice of this payment method implies that the customer will pay within 48 hours, in advance of the order being manufactured and dispatched.

To request a bank transfer payment, email us with your desired order details at info@carrarofinejewelry.com and we'll send you an invoice.

Our bank details below will also appear in the invoice:

Beneficiary: C Labs ApS

IBAN: LT233250080633302563

BIC: REVOLT21

Once you receive the invoice, you have 2 business days (48 hours, Monday through Friday) to pay for the order in full, after which we will begin the manufacturing of your order. You will be notified as soon as the purchase is dispatched to you.

8. Prices

Prices on carrarofinejewelry.com are subject to change without notice, due to the price changes of diamonds, gold, manufacturing costs, shipping, etc.

The store’s default currency is Danish Kroner (DKK). The prices on carrarofinejewelry.com are automatically converted via the Shopify app Bucks Currency Converter from DKK to SEK and to EUR, so customers can choose which of the three currencies to pay in.

Prices already include 25% Danish VAT, however, Carraro Fine Jewelry is not responsible for any unforeseen local duties and taxes on the items shipped.

9. Delivery Terms and Times

All our pieces are made-to-order one by one and made in Italy.

Normal production and delivery time (from the moment an order is confirmed to the moment an order is received by the customer) varies between 1 and 6 weeks from the order confirmation (not the order receipt).

Carraro Fine Jewelry reserves the right to extend said timeline depending on stock availability, holidays, delays by our suppliers etc. Customers with a deadline in mind are encouraged to contact customer service for a more accurate timeline.

We use DHL and FedEx for our national and international deliveries. All our shipments can be tracked via the shipping company.

Customers get notified on delivery by the courier and need to be home to receive their parcel, pending signature and valid identification.

If the customer is not home and the courier has to return the parcel to Carraro Fine Jewelry, the customer will be charged the cost of such return, as well as any additional shipment costs back to the customer.

Currently, Carraro Fine Jewelry ships within the EU, and does not ship outside the EU.

10. Cancellations, Returns and Exchanges

At Carraro Fine Jewelry we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional quality pieces. We test all our diamonds and all our pieces undergo rigorous quality assurance tests before they get shipped. However, there could be instances where you are not satisfied with your purchase.

Our cancellation and return policy guarantees your right of withdrawal, according to EU and Danish law, and extends it further. In case you find a flaw or production defect upon receiving your purchase, please refer to our “Warranty Claim” section below.

Any cancellations and returns must be accepted in writing by Carraro Fine Jewelry and shipped by the customer following instructions within the window of 30 days from the date of being received.

For our jewelry items (earrings, necklaces and bracelets) you have the right to cancel, return or exchange your order from the moment you place the order until 30 days from the date you receive your order.

10.1. Final Sale Policy for Rings

Please note that we cannot offer cancellations, returns or exchanges for custom orders, engraved or otherwise personalized items, or pieces altered (resized or modified) by a third-party jeweler.

All sales of rings from Carraro Fine Jewelry are final. All rings are customized with your choice of metal, size, carat and engraving, and therefore cannot be canceled, exchanged or returned.

10.2. Ring Resizing

In the event that a ring you ordered from Carraro Fine Jewelry does not fit properly, we recommend that you visit a local jeweler for resizing. This approach is more cost-effective and faster for the customer, as we are unable to offer competitive pricing and timing at this time.

If resizing were handled through Carraro Fine Jewelry, it would require shipping the ring back to the manufacturer, resulting in additional costs and longer wait times for you. Most local jewelers can resize rings safely and efficiently, ensuring a comfortable fit without the added expense and delay.

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Service regarding final sales and resizing recommendations.

10.3. Order Cancellations - Right of Withdrawal

NB: Order cancellations apply only to non-personalized earrings, necklaces and bracelets.

If you regret your order, you can cancel it by contacting us either via the form on our contact page with the subject “Cancellations/Returns/Exchanges” or via email at info@carrarofinejewelry.com with the same email you used when you completed the purchase, and include your full name and order number.

If your order has not been shipped to you yet, we will simply cancel your order and you will not be charged. If you have been charged already, you will be refunded.

If the order has already been shipped to you, please accept the package anyway and follow the instructions below to start a return. Please note that the return delivery costs and any extra delivery-related costs will be deducted from your refund.

10.4. 30-Day Order Returns or Exchanges

NB: Order returns and exchanges apply only to non-personalized earrings, necklaces and bracelets.

You have the right to return or exchange any non-personalized item purchased on carrarofinejewelry.com within 30 days of receiving it. The deadline is met if you ship the order back to us before the 30-day window has expired.

To start a return or exchange:

To return and/or exchange your order, please contact us via the form on our contact page with the subject “Cancellations/Returns/Exchanges” or at info@carrarofinejewelry.com with the same email you used when you completed the purchase, and list:

  1. Your full name (as stated in the order receipt)
  2. Your order number
  3. The date in which you received your purchase
  4. Reason for return
  5. If applicable, for exchanges: link to the item(s) you would like in exchange

Once we have received your email and confirmed you qualify for a return or exchange, we will email you a return slip to print.

For returns, please note that the return delivery costs and any extra delivery-related costs will be deducted from your refund.

When exchanging an item, you will need to cover the cost of return shipping and any price difference, if the item is more expensive. If the item is less expensive than the one you originally purchased, you will need to cover the cost of return shipping and you will be partially reimbursed with the difference in price between the items.

Pack everything in the same way you received it. Make sure that everything that was included in the delivery is included in the package. Seal the package thoroughly with tape and attach the return slip over the original delivery slip. All returns should be shipped to: C Labs ApS, Havneholmen 70, 2 th, 1561 Copenhagen, Denmark.

Please save the postal receipt as proof that you have delivered the package to the carrier. Carraro Fine Jewelry isn’t responsible for any missing parcels that are not shipped following the above steps.

Once we have received your parcel, we will inspect the jewelry to ensure you qualify for a refund, and process the refund of all payments received from you, minus the return delivery costs and any extra delivery-related costs, without undue delay and in any case no later than 14 days from the date on which we receive the purchased item(s) back.

Important: Upon delivery, you must ensure to return the jewelry with the tag attached, the original packaging (both the blue cardboard box and the velvet box) and the original diamond certificate(s), if included in your order. The returned jewelry, packaging and diamond certificate must be in brand new condition, unworn, undamaged, unaltered, and without any sign of usage. We reserve the right to refuse any return if any of the items included in the original parcel is compromised, missing or damaged, or if the jewelry tag is missing, or has been cut or damaged.

10.5. Warranty Claims

Carraro Fine Jewelry provides a 2-year warranty from the purchase date to cover any production defects. The warranty is subject to acceptance and compliance with the Carraro warranty conditions. Each warranty claim is evaluated individually.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects that can be attributed to Carraro Fine Jewelry, e.g. defective prongs, defective clasps in chains and bracelets, finishings defects, but does not cover damage to the jewelry created by accidents or improper use.

The warranty is void if, after inspection by Carraro Fine Jewelry, the item presents any evidence of mechanical or chemical damage generated by improper use. Improper use includes, but is not limited to: improper storage, improper cleaning, damage resulting from improper wearing, e.g. during exercise, or in chlorinated pools.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear. For example, the wearing off of rhodium plating on white gold jewelry is considered normal wear and tear and therefore does not constitute a manufacturing defect.

To submit a claim:

If you wish to submit a claim within the 2 year warranty period, you must do so in writing via email at info@carrarofinejewelry.com with the same email you used when you completed the purchase.

When filing a warranty claim, please always include:

  • the subject “Warranty Claim”
  • your full name
  • order number
  • the date in which you purchased the item(s)
  • the reason for your claim
  • photos of the item showing the production defect

Once we have received your message, we will contact you within a few working days via email with instructions on how to send us the item to inspect.

Please note that the cost of insured return shipping to process any warranty claim is on the customer.

Please allow us between 10 to 15 working days after we receive your return to inspect the jewelry to ensure you qualify for a repair or exchange. Once we have completed the inspection, we will follow up with information on either a repair or replacement of the item.

11. Access to Complain

If you as a consumer want to issue a complaint about a purchase you made, please contact us at info@carrarofinejewelry.com

If we are unable to find a solution, you can send your complaint to: Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800, Viborg, naevneneshus.dk. You will need to pay a fee in order to have the complaint processed.

If you live in an EU country other than Denmark, you can complain to the European Commission's online complaint portal: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/

13. Safety Information and Instructions for Use

Our pieces are crafted from solid 18K gold, making them long-lasting and excellent for everyday wear. However, you should follow a few precautions to make sure your jewelry doesn’t get damaged and keeps its optimal shine.

We strongly recommend removing your Carraro jewelry if you’re coming into prolonged contact with chlorinated (pool/hot tub) water and bleach. When in contact with salt water, rinse well after use.

We recommend removing your Carraro jewelry during physical activity, e.g. water sports, going to the gym, or cleaning, to avoid any bending, scratching, or loss.

Salt, chlorine and cleaning agents will corrode and weaken thinner areas, for example, the prongs of your ring, compromising the hold of prongs on your diamonds, and therefore risking losing the diamonds.

We also recommend removing your Carraro jewelry when applying lotion, makeup, or sunscreen. These products tend to create a film on the jewelry, creating product buildup that will make the gold and diamonds look dull and opaque.

The items purchased on carrarofinejewelry.com must be used in accordance with the provided instructions and guidelines, and should be kept out of the reach of children. Failure to do so can result in damage to the jewelry, or constitute a choking or injury hazard.

By using the Carraro Fine Jewelry website and purchasing our products, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service. Your continued use after changes have been posted means you agree to be legally bound by these updated terms.
